Thank you so much for doing this with us! Our readers would love to get to know you a bit better. Can you tell us your “Origin Story”? Can you tell us the story of how you grew up?
At 18 I was asked to work at my Families Health Club in 1979. I ran the front desk and started developing relationships with many older members who started to help me out.
They gave me great tips and resources to help me in my life. I actually had a great tip from a Financial Advisor on how to save money. In 10 years, I saved over $58,000. What I learned you can serve and network with people and your life will change. Building quality relationships builds your network which eventually builds your business and your life.
Can you share the most exciting story that happened to you since you began leading your company or organization?
I had to close my business in 2013. I was worried about my employees. I had to look at the big picture. I saw this company would not make it and I did not want to be in a position to not be able to pay them. Great decision because They found other jobs.
We often learn the most from our mistakes. Can you share one that you made that turned out to be one of the most valuable lessons you’ve learned?
I had a company get shut down out of the blue. I put a lot of money into the company but had made a critical error of not researching the company. I learned to be deliberate when you invest.
As a successful leader, it’s clear that you uphold strong core values. I’m curious about the most essential principles you firmly stand by and refuse to compromise on. Can you share a few of them and explain why they hold such significance for you in your work and life?
My #1 core is bringing value to everyone I meet. Always looking at ways to serve people. Change their energy to uplift them and enrich their lives as it does the same for me.
What inspired you to start a purpose-driven business rather than a traditional for-profit enterprise? Can you share a personal story or experience that led you to prioritize social impact in your business?
The story of meeting a Financial Advisor who gave me a free tip. He did that because we had built a quality relationship. I trusted his advice. This advice made me a lot of money. I learned you can serve people and still make money in business.
Can you help articulate a few of the benefits of leading a purpose-driven business rather than a standard “plain vanilla” business?
You get more done. You wake up in the morning with energy, even if yesterday was not a good day. People will remember and WANT to work with you.
How has your company’s mission or purpose affected its overall success? Can you explain the methods or metrics you use to evaluate the impact of this purpose-driven strategy on your organization?
My business has taken off because of the purpose of serving and bringing value. I have met more millionaires who want to partner with me. I had a billionaire call me to work with me. Made more money in the last 8 months than in the last 3 years. I now can help others.
Can you share a pivotal moment when you realized that leading your purpose-driven company was actually making a significant impact? Can you share a specific example or story that deeply resonated with you personally?
When I launched my Podcast business in Oct. I started to see referrals from quality people who were hyper-successful in business. One story is one of my guests came on and we had a great show. He told me he works with High-profile people. Once we finished the show he told me here is my private cell number. I want to work with you to change the world.
